User Setup Profile document
The User Setup Profile document has been replaced by the use of policies in Lotus Domino 6. If you have existing User Setup Profile documents, you can use them, but they cannot be combined with policies.

The User Setup Profile document contains a set of defaults that you can use when registering users. The User Setup Profile document is being replaced by policies and cannot be used when Policy documents and Policy settings are used. You can, however, use the User Setup Profile documents on pre Release 6 servers, and you can use them instead of policies.

Create a User Setup Profile prior to registering users so that you can apply the setup profile to all of the users being registered during the registration process. The User Setup Profile can help you ensure consistency in the settings you assign to users during registration.
