Setting a cell's border style and thickness
You can customize your table's cell border style and thickness. To do so:

1. Put the document in Edit mode.

2. Place your cursor anywhere in the table, and choose Table - Table Properties.

3. Click the Cell Borders tab.

4. Focus the cursor in the cell you are adjusting. To adjust a range of cells, select the range of cells first.

5. Follow the procedures in the following table to customize your cell borders.
To do thisProcedure
Set border style for all cellsIn the "Cell Border Style" section, choose one of these options from the style field:
  • Solid
  • Ridge (border appears to be raised off the page).
  • Groove (border appears to be pressed into the page).
Set border color for all cells In the "Cell Border Style" section, choose a specific color in the Color field.

Note You can customize colors by using the color wheel button in the top right corner of the Color box. Color wheel

Set cell border thickness In the "Cell Border Thickness" section, adjust border thickness in appropriate border location field (Top, Bottom, Left, Right).

Note To adjust all border locations for all selected cells, select the cells first, and then click the arrows to the far right of the "Cell Border Thickness" section.

Set cells to have no borders
  1. Place cursor in specific cell.
  2. In the "Cell Border Thickness" section, click "Set All to 0."

Notes
  • To set specific borders of cells to zero, set appropriate border location (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) to 0.
  • To view borders again, click "Set All to 1."
Outline the table
  1. Select two or more cells in the table.
  2. In the "Cell Border Thickness" section, click "Outline."
